Who We Are
A monthly Q&A to help you get to know what some of your LJC colleagues are up to outside the office!

Left: Regan and her daughters | Right: Shayna in her element
Don't forget to say "hi" back to your colleagues featured below! Send them an email, shoot them a chat, or tell them in person something you found interesting from their Q&A!
Meet Regan Romero!
Office: Phoenix
Title/Role: Senior Associate / Project Architect
School(s) you graduated from: Arizona State University – Go Devils!
Get to Know Regan!
What is something about you that you think would surprise your coworkers?
Starting in college, I bartended for many years, with a rather long stretch at Majerle’s Downtown- my first bartending gig. Following that, I was an evening/ weekend bartender at the Big Bang in Tempe, while I worked my first Architecture role during the week. Makes me tired just thinking about it!
What’s the most fun you've had on a trip or vacation?
I have three young daughters at home, and our newest favorite vacation is beach camping! Each spring break we tow a trailer out to the west coast to Doheny State beach for the week, living on the beach and thoroughly embedding sand into everything we own. But we always come home pleasantly tired, tan and ready to get back to our full-size beds.
Name three songs that best describe you / are your favorites and briefly explain why:
“Something in the the Orange”- Zach Bryan – I grew up on country music, and my grandmother taught country line dancing at the Cactus Moon in Tucson.
“Make it Look Easy”- Shane Eli – Gets me going for my work-outs or just everyday hustle with 3 chicks in tow.
“Sunday Best” – Surfaces – Reminds me of my girls singing in the car.
What movie can you watch over and over again? What makes it so special?
Its really a toss-up between ‘Bridesmaids’ and ‘Dumb and Dumber’. I am a sucker for Melissa McCarthy or anyone that can make me laugh.
Say "hello" to Shayna Moore!
Office: St. Louis
Title/Role: Interior Designer
School(s) you graduated from: Savannah College of Art and Design - Atlanta
Get to Know Shayna!
What’s the most fun you've had on a trip or vacation?
When I was in school I got to study abroad to the Kansai Region in Japan for 3 weeks. We sketched at every location we went to and visited multiple local architects!
What is the last show you binged and enjoyed?
I really enjoyed watching House of Dragon it's definitely a whirlwind!
What was your first job and what is most memorable about it?
My first Job was as a summer programs assistant (basically a camp counselor) through my alma mater working with prospective high school students. What was the most memorable thing about that time was all the people I was able to meet throughout my time there.
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up and why?
I wish I was kidding but before I settled on Interior Designer, I wanted to be a kindergarten teacher by day and a bartender at night. Maybe it was the Vegas kid in me but I definitely thought all they did was serve juice all day.
What We're Working On
Check out some of the latest and greatest project milestones from this past month!
We celebrated the ribbon cutting of POP! Heights in Rosemont
Check out the video below featuring more than a few familiar faces!
The Katherine Ward Burg Garden Trellis was installed!
Located near the St. Louis Arch National Park, this garden will become a social destination for tourists and St. Louisans. LJC‘s landscape architecture team designed this aluminum trellis to be a modern architectural icon, in a respectful contrast to the historic architecture of the Eads Bridge.
We celebrated the third anniversary of INVEST South/West in Chicago's Austin neighborhood
The event celebrated the $1.4 billion investment so far, and the event doubled as a groundbreaking for the Laramie State Bank building renovation and the LJC-designed Chicago Avenue Corridor Improvements.
Our hearts are full after seeing our work's positive impact in this community. Please take a moment to watch this impactful video:
